Undara

Numbat – where found – survives in a few isolated eucalypt forests in south-western W.A. We got the book that told us the information at Undara when we went to the lava tubes so we went on the board walk. It was boring for a hour. When an hour past it was quite fun walking along the wooden path. We went on the bus to get to the lava tubes. I thought that the seats were quite comfortable. The lava tubes have water in them but one of the lava tubes had no water in it.

Magnetic Island

We went to Magnetic Island. The way to get there was to go on a ferry. The ferry was a fast one. When we got there we picked up our Mini Moke. The Mini Moke had seat belts and no doors. We went to Uncle Colin’s house and we had morning tea. We went out looking for somewhere to have lunch. We had fish and chips. Max and I made a sand castle at every bay except Picnic Bay. At Picnic Bay I found a piece of rock that was going upwards. The bay had a playground and we played a game that we had houses on the playground. It was fun.

The Sky Window

We went to the Window Sky Walk. Max was running on the past because he had so much energy. We saw lots of things like ferns, mountains. It was a short walk. Later on we went to see the platypus, but we saw a different walk and went on it. We saw heaps of tree’s. On the walk we saw a fern that was a strange way because the leaves were pointing up. We saw a platypus and i took a couple of photo’s. I saw a turtle and the colour on it’s shell was a funny colour. The colour was brown. The platypus was easy to see.

Miriam Vale

We went to Miriam Vale. We got there at night. My legs were stinging a lot. They had a Wii. The game I played the most was Carnival Games. They have two dogs. On of the dogs were called Molly. The other dog was called oxy. We had chips. Foxy jumps a lot when people go near her. The next day we went to the place where Captain Hook (Captain Cook actually ) first put his anchor in Queensland. We built a sand castle, the moat was deep. The moat was not wide like the normal moats. We didn’t stay that long.

The Ginger Factory

We went to Miriam Vale. We saw pat and George’s house, but I need to tell you about the ginger factory. We got tot the the ginger factory at 3 o’clock. We went to a ginger tasting tour. I got to taste lots of things that had ginger. We went to a ride called Overboard. It was amazing. It showed the whole wide world. It was a story about a ginger bread man. The cook’s were chasing the ginger bread man and wanted to feed him to the crew on the ship. The ship was called the Ginger Traveller. In Paris the ginger bread man did the can can. When we got home Sarah demonstrated the can can.

Tim’s Farm

We went to Tim’s farm and saw lots of trees. We went into Tim’s shed. We were looking for ear muffs but we didn’t find them. We played a game. We went in the car because we didn’t know where Mum and Dad were. Dad found us. He said ‘would you like to drive the back hoe’. I said ‘yes’. It was fun.

Staying at Sarah and Rachel’s

We went to stay at Tim and Suzanne house. I had to do my blog when I got there. They have two daughters called Sarah and Rachel. Lotte is stying with them. I like Sarah, Rachel and Lotte because they like to dance. On Saturday we saw Lotte play her first game of hockey. I sat on Rachel’s lap.

On Sunday we went to a coffee shop close to a lake. On the other side there was a playground. I went to that playground. It was fun until the flying fox hit me in the mouth. We went to a bakery and had lunch. After lunch we split up. There was a shop I liked called Giddy and Grace. My favourite thing was a love heart made out of strawy wood.

Tamborine Mountain

We are going to see Sarah and Rachel, but I need to tell you about yesterday. We went to the information centre. The lady that was at the counter. She suggested going on the Skywalk. We went to Tamborine Mountain. We saw a cheese factory and I liked the moo cheese. Max liked the blue cheese. We went to the chocolate factory. We had an ice cream. The flavour I got was boysenberry. Max got passionfruit. Dad got dark chocolate ice cream. I saw a fudge shop. The suzanne1

fudge shop had lollies. I wanted to buy a lolly but I couldn’t.

Swan Creek the Second

When we woke up we saw nearly everything covered with ice. The tap was frozen. Mum was an ice block. The clothes were on the washing line that night. We went to Mullumbimby and we had power. It was a big place. We played football. We stopped far away from the toilets. we went to Byron Bay. We had Yum Cha and it was yummy. We went to the bead shop and I bought some string and three packs of beads. Mum bought one pack of beads for me. We went to the lighthouse and saw the most Eastern point of Australia.

Moree

We went to Moree. On the first night we visited Lauren my Dads cousin and Beau the baby that is twelve weeks old and Steve the Dad his age was twenty seven. We watched abce3 and the show we liked the most was called the Avengers. My favourite character is Iron Man. The first movie we watched was Star Wars the Clone Wars. It was nearly the end of the movie and I thought it was close tot he start of the movie. The next day we went to the rocket playground and it was a tall playground. We went on the tallest slide and we had to go up three ladders. It was fun going on the big slide. When we went down the cones we went down fast and long. We went to Swan Creek but on the way we went to Lauren’s house we went to Lauren’s house and me and Max went on the fort and an old fort. We played a game and we were pirates in the game.

Half Way

We are half way through our trip. I don’t like it when Max hits me. We have been on the road for three months. I;m going to tell you about what I like. We saw lots of sunsets. On of the sunsets we saw was at a dam that was where I met Blake. We have been at lots of places on our trip around Australia. Max didn’t like it when his camera got broken at the sand dunes in Fowlers Bay. We liked it when a dog went on the sand dunes. We found a cubby on the sand dunes. It was on the last day when we found our cubby. At Baird Bay I liked it when we swam with sea lions. It was freezing in the water.

Thora and Dorrigo

At Thora we played football and it was fun. It was very muddy. I went into the mud. It was cold. My brother thought it was boiling. At Dorrigo we saw a water fall close to the road. On the road we saw another water fall and it led down the hill. It was very amazing. We went to a Skywalk. It had lots of animals in the information room. There was a video to watch all about animals homes. On the walk we saw lots of trees. We saw fog every where. Mountains were nearly everywhere.

Coffs Harbour to Bellingen

On Wednesday we went to Coffs Harbour. At Coffs Harbour we saw the Big Banana but i was not like the Giant Strawberry. We took lots of photos at the Big Banana.

We went to the marina and we saw lots of boats at Coffs Harbour.

We bought an icecream and the flavour I got was a Milo. Max had a thick white chocolate drumstick icecream.

Max got some new (sun)glasses.

We had a look at a shop and it had icecreams.

We went to a playground. It had monkey bars and swings. Max got to go on the tyre swing.

At Bellingen we went to the Yellow Shed (shop) and there was a book that tells how to speak cat.

Australian Reptile Park

Today we left Sydney. On the way we saw a big sign called the Australian Reptile Park. We decided to go there. It cost sixty dollars to get inside. The first thing we did was watching a show about funnel web spiders. The way to catch a funnel web safely is to get a smooth surface. At the start of the walk Max got to touch a snake. We saw flying foxes. We saw two wombats. we saw a Tepu which is a very long lizard. We saw a turtle the colour of the turtle was a whitey brown. We saw a snake that was about six feet long. A person got to carry it. It was a python. There was a crocodile and it was a small one. Mum got to hold a snake and it was scary. After the show I got to pat a kangaroo. Max got to pat a wombat and got to pat it too. We went to Spiderworld.

Sydney

Today we went to Luna Park on the ferry. It took about three or four minutes. At Luna Park we got lots of photos. We saw a Ferris wheel. We went on a trampoline. It had straps to get high we had to jump with your knees up. There was a nice lady there to help us. The ride cost ten dollars and we had use our own money. We also used our money for some fairy floss and that cost three dollars and fifty cents.the fairy floss on a stick was four dollars. We went back to Circular Quay and had lunch. we went on a big ocean going ferry to Manly. We didn’t get off the ferry. It had toilets and I went to the them. The toilet paper was very low down. We went back to the campsite ad then went to Eleanor’s house.

Lane Cove River

We went to Richmond and I bought a DS game. It was called Star Wars the clone wars. Max bought Pokemon Black. On the way to Sydney we went there. We were at the caravan park in no time. We had power and drinkable water. I went for a bike ride and when I went down a hill I crashed. It hurt a lot. The side of my fingers were ripped off. I found the caravan and I went on my DS and I played my new DS game. We went to a night walk because we wanted to. We saw lots of nocturnal animals. We saw a possum at the camp house. Me and Mum went to the caravan to put a bandage on my sore fingers. The next day we went Sydney on the train. We went to the Opera House it had escalators. We went out side and saw people getting married.

The Botanic Garden

Today we went to Mt Wilson and there was lots of Ferns. The trees were very high. Max saw something funny. At the end of the road there was a garage and Max said if we had the caravan it would be impossible but Mum said Dad would find out a way (Ed. to turn around – it was a no through road). On the way down Max put down his window and Max said it was nice because water went on his face. We were playing a game and I had a pretend laptop. I liked playing that game . We were going to the Botanic Gardens. To know where you are going you used a map. The gardens had a visitor centre a toilet and a restaurant. At the visitor centre there was different types of mushrooms. The dead cap mushroom looks like a normal mushroom. The top of the dead cap mushroom is white. On the walk we went to look at there was a sorbus wilsoniana the sign said Central chia western Hubei province rare in cultivation Family Maclaceae. The walk went for ages. We had to go up a lot of stairs. We had a drink at the vivitor centre. We went back to the camp site. Tomorrow we are going to Sydney.

Aidan's Assembly and Pizza

On Friday we went to Aidan's assembly. It was funny. They played about history. Aidan got to talk into the microphone. When it was finished Aidan could go off the stage.

We went home (and) I had a rest. I got to listen to Aidan's CD player and the CD was 'Snap, Crackle and Pop'.

That night we had pizza for tea at a restaurant. We played a game outside. I liked playing it. Max did like the game too. The attack was light, fire and nature. Then it was time to go home.

Canberra #2

We are in Canberra at the moment. It was very cold outside. We are staying with the Bruce family. The people in the family are Aunty Justine, Uncle David, Aidan and Lauren. Aunty Justine is my fairy godmother. I like playing Star Wars with Aidan and fun games with Lauren. We are going swimming in the afternoon. (Today) I made toast for everyone.

Questacon

Yesterday we went to Questacon. I liked it at Questacon because there was a robot and you can play Star Wars Two.

At three o'clock we watched the theatre about two or more things that touch each other. (Collisions).

We went to Gallery one. One of the things I did was a things that has a picture of the Earthand you can move it around and sideways.

There was an aeroplane game that you can do and it was fun ... you can go up or down and if you crash you will go in to the air. I got three turns on the aeroplane. I went on the aircraft to make the other person be able to move. It was fun.

When we were about to go we made it in time to see an explosion.

At the end when Questacon was about to shut we went into a house that they made so the floor shook. It was an earthquake house.

Then we went home and went to bed.

Canberra #1

On Friday we arrived at Cambrer (Canberra). I got to see the Bruce Family. The childrens names are Loren and Adien. Me and Lorien watched 'Scooby Doo'. There were four episodes. It was funny.

We had a fire. Me and Adien and Max played Star Wars.

The next morning we got ready to watch Aedien play soccer. Adin was a good player. We went home and had lunch.

On Sunday we went to Lorin's preschool fete. Mum brolt (bought) me and Max a Star that made it so it means that we can get get a sausage, a drink ... the drink was a pop top and we could make a biscuit with lollies and marshmallows and m and ms and we could eat it after you finished making it.

I got a money box and I go to go on the bouncy castle. We went home. I liked going to the fete. I really enjoyed myself.

That nihget (night) we watched 'Nims Island'.

That night Aunty Kerryn came over with some other people.

Kidstown

We went to the SPC shop and I bought a five pack of Mentos. Max bought three packs of chocolates for five dollars. They were big bags. Mum bought a three pack of Boost bars. We went to Kidstown. It had lots of Monkey Bars. I went on the biggest slide I ever seen and I went down the slide. I vomited and Dad thought I was pretending.

Melbourne

The night after my party I found that the back of the car was broken. We had to go to the repair shop.

Me and Max watched 'James and the Giant Peach' and it was funny. We watched the Thornberrys Movie.

The car was fixed. Then we went to the caravan.

The next morning it was my birthday and I got a DS and 205 games and I play it a lot. One of the games is called Pokemon diamond and Pokemon pearl and I like them. I had some stickers and one of the stickers was a surfbord(sic).

The next day we went to Hume and Hovell cricket grounds and it had flowers.

After that we had lunch and I had a toasted sandwich and we went on the swing and I jumped off the swing.

The next day we saw a cow that looked like a Shrek cow. There was also a da Vinci cow. I found a palace there and did lots of tricks.

At the SPC shop I bought Mentos. Later we went to Kidstown (adventure playground sponsored by SPC). We had lots of fun there.

(adult edited) Yesterday we went to the tram station and it was about a 27 minute ride. It was fun, then we got off the tram and we walked to a bank. It had pictures of lions, sheep and rats.

We got outside and then me, Dad and Max went for a walk and we crossed a road and went to a pizza shop. It was yummy.

Then we went to a magic shop and there was a devil kit and a vampire teeth and kit. Then we got out of the shop and went to the museum that showed about Egypt. We got to see what room a person in Egypt (got buried in).

Then we got to eat some chips and then we got to play on the playground. We got home and got ready for going to Erin's house. At Erins' house we made a cafe and then went to my birthday party and I had nachos and icecream and cake. It was yummy and they got me a hat.

Mt Dandenong

On Saturday we went to Mt Dandenong with Erin and Charlie. It was fun. We went to the secret garden. It had lovely flowers, some were red and yellow and blue and orange. We played games like chasey and we went to the lookout. There was a circle that had writing and then we went to the picnic area and ate at the picnic area and then we went to the sculpture park and we had to cross a road and climb some stairs and then there was a rope. We saw the person who made them (and) are in some of them. Some of them had water spurting out of them. We went home.

The very next morning we had breakfast and got dressed and went to Alex's home.

In Melbourne

On Tuesday night we got to Sharens (sic) house and we got ot have tea and when we finished tea we got to watch a movie called the Emprs (Emperor's) New Groove two. It was funny. We went to bed.

The next morning we watched tee vee and me and Max went in to the playroom. We played teachers and then we went to Emilys house and had lunch. It was very yummy. I played Lego. It was fun. Then we went to their school. It was a two minute walk.

When we got back we went to the playroom and we played a game clde (called) run for your lives. It was funny and then we played hide and seek. Then we went home.

There was (were) two other kids (at home) cald (called) Erin and Charley.

Cuddlee Creek

We went to Cudlle (Cuddlee) Creek campsite (.) there (There) was a playground and there was (were) two see solls (saws) and there was a fling (flying) soser (saucer).

We went tow (to) the Bradmenmen (Bradman) mooseum (museum. T) there was a moove (movie) about his cricet (cricket) playing and there was a stump and a ball and herf (half) a water taingk (tank). It was fun to hit the ball. There was the DA vinche (vinci) exerdishen (exhibition) and he maed (made) ships and flotes (boats.) Some sines (signs) say do not tuch (touch) and some say tach (touch) with cere (care). and there was two mooves (movies) one was about leanrdo DA Vichey(. A) after the exdarvishen (exhibition) we went to a park and Max tor(e) his pan(t)s and there was loing(long) muncy bers(bars).

When we left the park we went and picked Mum up from Adelaide Library and me and Max now have library cards because Mum got them for us.

Hahndorf

At Hahndorf we went to the chocolate factory. I got to taste some chocolate I never tasted like it before. I liked the chocolate factory. I liked the white chocolate. I buyed (bought) a packet of white chocolate Easter eggs. They were yummy. I buyed (bought) a bar of white chocolate and a circle with 100s and 1000s on it.

We went to Woodside cheesewrights. Max and I liked the chilli cheese the best. Mum liked the herb cheese.

We went to the alpacas next. I patted the alpacas. I even got to lead one that was called Bond. Bond's fur was light.

The next day we went to Adelaide and visited a Smiggles shop and tried lots of things out.

On the way home we stopped at a river and Max fell in with his clothes on! He was cold.

The Toy Factory

We went to Gumeracha on the giant rocking horse. We went up lots of ladders. Some of the ladders said up or down and I got to the top. It was so high I nearly couldn’t see the ground. The way down was a long way down.

We went to see the animals. We saw kangaroos. There was three kangaroos. One was bouncing. Two was a relaxing under a tree. We saw goats. One ripped the animal food bag. We went to see a wallaby. It was cute. It’s tail makes it balance well. It was like a kangaroo. There was one wallaby. It was nice. I could pat it.

We went to the Toy Factory. The Toy Factory made the giant rocking horse.

Burra & Yacka

On Sunday we brought a Giant Twin icecream it was yummy.

On Easter we had a Easter hunt.

We went to Burra. It was fun in Burra. We went to the Cook o’Burra cafe and I had a chicken sandwich and some water. After that we went to the town hall where we dressed up as old times. I dressed up as a sailor, my Mum dressed as a server, Max dressed up as a boy. He was funny. Dad dressed up as a police. We took lots of photos. We pretended to poor cups of tea. Dad and me and Max went to the projection room It had lots of chairs. One was broken. They were green.

Next morning me and Max played on the playground.

Yacka

Thursday we went to Clare Library. It has lots of books. It has lots of Aussie Bites and there was a second had bookshop and there was heaps of books.

We are at Yacka and it is nice and I made some friends called Marion and Wayne and Callum ad Ronin. It was very fun. I had a big walk around town and and I saw two dogs. They were beautiful and I got to pat one.

Whyalla

Yesterday we went to the Maritime Museum in Whyalla. I saw lots of toilets on the boat. I saw a fantastic train set. There were more than 20 trains.  We climbed on lots of old boats and climbed on lots of old towers. We played games on a computer. I enjoyed doing this.

We went to Port Pirie and got a new winder for the caravan. We found a really good campsite with a playground in  Yacka.

Staying at Kimba

Yesterday we arrived at Kimba. We stayed at free campsite that has a fantastic playground. The playground has a ladder, a poley thing, a fireman's pole and a bridge. I made a friend called Charlese and we rode our bikes. She was funny.

I had to do lots and lots of washing up. The washing up made my fingers feel funny.

The longest drive

We went to Norseman and we saw big tin camels.

After that we drove the longest straight stretch of road in Australia which was 147km long.

We drove to a town called Balladonia where there was a museum which had olden days things like a car, old kitchen things and even a pis of spaceship that fell on the town in 1979.

After Eucla we crossed the border into South Australia.

Esperance

Yesterday I met Hayley and Clint. They had a dog called Ella. They lived next door for one night. They came from Albany.

In Esperance, me, Max and Dad rode our bikes to see Sammy the seal. He was (swimming) at (the) shallow water.

Starting off

Saturday (we) went to Balingup to say goodbye to my cousins and Grandma and Grandpa.

Monday we went to Broomehill. On the way we stopped at the Kodja Place (in Kojonup). It was cool.

Tuesday we went to Ravensthorpe.
